Ministries
Campus Minstries
· Hessel Park Church supports Christian students and faculty at the University by hosting and/or supporting a number of campus ministries:
Graduate Christian Fellowship A graduate chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
Esperanza: A dinner club for Christian faculty with the purpose of getting to know each other, learning more about the work each one does, and sharing stories of hope (or struggles with hope) at the university.
Campus Book Discussion: Hosted by Pastor Tim at his campus office, all are welcome to a discussion of a variety of theological and philosophical books in order to deepen our capacity to live as faithful Christians in the world. Past books include Politics for Everybody, by Ned O’Gorman; On the Side of the Poor, by Gustavo Gutiérrez and Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Muller; and Reality, Grief, Hope: Three Urgent Prophetic Tasks, by Walter Brueggemann.
Deeper Roots Spiritual Direction: Pastor Tim offers spiritual direction to members of the University community at his campus office.
