Campus Ministry
As a church located in the heart of a University town, our integration with campus is multi-faceted. Faculty and students from the University of Illinois are part of our church, along with staff from local campus ministries. For students who can’t make it home for the holidays, we make extra efforts to ensure that they have a place to celebrate with church families. We celebrate “the life of the mind” and seek to integrate scholarship and our Christian discipleship.
Pastor Tim Bossenbroek works from an on-campus office two days a week and offers meetings for spiritual direction to members of the University community.
Hessel Park Church is also closely affiliated with the following campus ministries:
Graduate Christian Fellowship A graduate chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
International Christian Fellowship Members of ICF seek to build friendships with international students, scholars, post-docs and their families through informal events.
The Veritas Forum at the U of I seeks to create forums for the exploration of truth (veritas) and life.
