Our Worship Services

Our Sunday worship services begin at 10:30 a.m., and last about 60-70 minutes.
As we worship we celebrate the truths of the faith through aesthetically pleasing liturgy, biblically driven preaching, and music representing the best of traditional and contemporary forms. We seek to be thoughtful as a congregation in developing worship. In our actions and convictions we seek to demonstrate a deep understanding of biblical teaching, careful consideration of the bases of action, inclusive language, and gracious regard for alternative points of view.

Our spoken liturgy is based on Scripture, and we shape our worship around the Christian calendar. Certain elements of the worship service stay the same each week and other elements vary. We seek to draw from historic Christian prayers as well as new prayers written by members of our congregation.

We usually sing traditional hymns as well as contemporary worship music, accompanied by a pianist. We encourage all members to contribute their musical gifts to our worship, and on any given Sunday there may also be a violin, guitar, woodwinds, brass, or percussion helping us worship. From time to time, a church choir shares special musical pieces with the congregation to encourage our worship. We typically celebrate communion once per month.
