Leadership

LEADERSHIP TEAM

The Leadership Team, or Council, is made up of the Pastor, the Elders and the Deacons. Elders and Deacons are chosen through prayerful consideration and a congregational vote. At Hessel Park Church, all adult members are eligible to serve as either elder or deacon.

The Pastor

The Pastor is called by the congregation and serves by preaching the Word of God, administering the sacraments, and overseeing the worship services and the training of God’s people for Christian service.

Elders

Alongside the pastor, elders help lead the congregation particularly in the areas of pastoral care and vision.

Deacons

Deacons help lead the congregation in the areas of stewardship, assistance to the vulnerable, and addressing injustice.
